This is a very random bunch of thoughts based from my collecting of GIJOE: A real American hero figures and vehicles. Contained here are memories, experiences, recent thoughts, completely random thoughts, and other random things on top of that. While one company has made, and makes, our shared interests, we all add into that interest with our own creativity. You, the reader, will find many, many, excellent sites among the links to see what other GIJoe fans are doing, hit them up! For GIJOE stuff that is more random in topic, you'll find it here.

Hurricane

I was hoping that with re-issued vehicles, the Hurricane would make it out. Even if the GIJOE collectors club did it.

This is one of those vehicles that made me feel like Cobra was growing, or renewing. Consider at the time, where a HISS II and Fang II were out, a "Rattler II" would have been sensible. But the all-new Hurricane came out in its place. Not the tank-smasher A-10 inspired plane of old, but a huge engined sleek fighter with VTOL!

Cobra is a snake and sneak is snake sideways, or however Flint said that on the cartoon, and this plane says that to me. No runways needed! Unlike the Night Raven, where THAT bird is gonna have to zip out at mach 3+ (!) and hide on some remote airstrip, a Hurricane looks fast enough for dog-fighting but able to use its large wings for low-off-the-radar runs where it could disappear into a hidden location. Perhaps this location is crawling with FLAK-Vipers to deter pursuit!
