This is a very random bunch of thoughts based from my collecting of GIJOE: A real American hero figures and vehicles. Contained here are memories, experiences, recent thoughts, completely random thoughts, and other random things on top of that. While one company has made, and makes, our shared interests, we all add into that interest with our own creativity. You, the reader, will find many, many, excellent sites among the links to see what other GIJoe fans are doing, hit them up! For GIJOE stuff that is more random in topic, you'll find it here.

BF2K: return as new sci-fi alternate universe?

We're well passed the year 2000, and 1987 BF2K team is for the most part, "dead."   At one time, somewhere around the early 2000 mark of that particular benchmark of a relaunch, powers that be said "dead is dead."  That was then.

I'm not sure where the modern GIJoe product is at as far as new stuff coming or what that will be.   So, left with imagination and time, I was thinking I would throw this idea out there:

A seven-pack of Battle Force 2000 figures for the modern ages.   Except, with a added twists!

Ever see the movie, "universal soldier?"   Yeah, something like that.  Except in the GIJoe universe(s) the scientists that bring our 6 dead Battle Force 2000 soldiers back to life are none other than former scientists that worked with Dr. Mindbender on creating Serpentor.   Only now, they are working with some shady military program, that is planning on using them for secret missions with futuristic sci-fi weaponry and vehicles.  Of course, the scientists and the lot are all up to no good....

In the end, it is up to Dodger to convince his reanimated teammates who they are, what side they are on, and what is really going on.

The figure 7-pack, would feature the figures after they are brought back into the fold of the GIJoe team, and would include a comic with the story of how that plays out.   (Sgt. Savage and the Screaming Eagles would make an appearance in this epic story....)

The 7-pack would essentially allow us to bring the old BF2K into the modern age, but would allow imaginations to push the sci-fi element into its own through potential vehicles and technology that would follow.

Tomorrow's battle field technology today!

(Of course, the "Future Fortress," would be something like the 2005 RHINO or ROCC (crossed with the Fort America) where the main vehicle has other smaller mini vehicles to deliver the action.)
