This is a very random bunch of thoughts based from my collecting of GIJOE: A real American hero figures and vehicles. Contained here are memories, experiences, recent thoughts, completely random thoughts, and other random things on top of that. While one company has made, and makes, our shared interests, we all add into that interest with our own creativity. You, the reader, will find many, many, excellent sites among the links to see what other GIJoe fans are doing, hit them up! For GIJOE stuff that is more random in topic, you'll find it here.

Zartan and his helicopter?

The Cobra helicopter gets a lot of attention, it's very cool, and maybe something just about everyone would agree with on seeing produced in toy form.    But then there is this helicopter of topic here that appeared in the Marvel GIJoe comic, too.   And I speculate that it is Zartan's own helicopter, but I have no way to prove it, I suppose.  Other than that Zartan seems to be near where this helicopter appears.    Coincidence?  Take a look, investigate, and see what you think.  Nothing below is in any particular order, but consider that there is only one of this design helicopter ever seen at one time.   Perhaps everyone knows this already, too, and I'm just figuring it out?

The ZTN-456.
This is the helicopter that was disguised as a city bus as Zartan comes along to scoop up his Dreadnoks, who in this particular issue destroyed Zartans' bike, the ZTN-123.

It is visually similar to the CH-37 US Army helicopter as I see it.    It's a rather unique form, I'm searching but cannot find many other front loading cargo 'copters like this.  Yet.  From the site link just above, "...The H-37's innovative engine arrangement gave the craft an unobstructed cargo bay of nearly 1500 cubic feet, large enough to carry three Jeeps, twenty-four stretchers, or up to twenty-six fully-equipped troops...."

WOW!

This helicopter is also seen when Zartan is employing (?) the Red Ninjas.

The helicopter, although appearing with what looks like lower fuselage windows is still the only type of its kind visible in the aircraft armada.

At the controls, which, Zartan is without a doubt an accomplished pilot.

The front opening doors disembark troops.

A fairly roomy flight deck exists.

Family Transportation?

The Cargo hold has room for a VW bus.

Front cargo doors with a ramp, and side doors.
