My latest 'Joe addition. A big old coloring book from 1983.
This came from a local thrift/ antique/ funky junk shop almost right around the corner. I had decided to get out of collecting things like this (puzzles, knick-knacks, etc.) almost five years ago, but it was in good shape and gave me a chance to shop local. It's a nicely rendered cover, too. It's on a large poster frame, and I may return to the store and buy a Transformers book of the same size to join it in that frame. A rather higher price wall decoration it may be, but cool none the less. Also in the mix of coloring books of this size was a Heathcliff book, and maybe a Strawberry shortcake one. There were a total of three of these big GIJoe books in the shop, too.

Unlike the Transformers book, the inside pages to be colored were of recognizable GIJoe characters. The Transformers book I passed on, mostly since it was rather abstract robot/ spacey machine looking stuff. I felt no connection to the item, other than the cover.
Over at YoJoe.com, the have an operation decoy book listed here , it is a different cover. I didn't see much more information listed on Jumbo Coloring books anywhere, so I assume there were many of these types of things out there.
Today, photos are ending up sideways, no matter what I do, so, I will leave it at this. Well, maybe I'll do some coloring....
